11/01/2007 - Pres. McMahon and the entire MBDO Board of DIrectors congratulates Joe Vater. Editor of the "Quan" (publication of the American Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor) on his recent retirement after 50 years as the editor of that presitigous publication. The ADB&C rightfully credits Joe and the Quan as "the glue which has held the ABD&C together." We all wish Joe well in his well-earned retirement. Click here.07/01/2007 - Letter from Philippine Undersecretary Carolina uploaded documenting promise to move the Death March boxcar from its present location where it is home to squatters. The boxcar will be moved to the Capas National Shrine, Capas, Tarlac. Read the letter here.
06/21/2007 - Mike Kuryla, survivor of the USS Indianapolis and longtime friend to the MBDO, was featured in The American Legion Magazine, April 2007.
05/27/2007 - Added Doris Martel, wife of Pvt. Edward Martel, to the Roll of Hone. Doris passed away on 10/23/2007. Find the Roll of Honor here.
05/15/2007 - UPDATED: Corgi will be releasing a diecast model of one of the Stuart Light M3 tanks used by Co. B with Co. B markings in September 2007. It appears on their website here. Look closely and you'll see that the tank is even tagged "Helen", which is the name given by Sgt. Willard Von Bergen to his tank - Helen was his wife's name. Helen Von Bergen was also Treasurer of the American Bataan Clan, the forerunner of the MBDO. Sgt. Von Bergen died of malaria in POW Camp Cabanatuan in August, 1942. 04/01/2007 - Received the sad news that Marilyn Rae Bardowski, wife of Pvt. Zenon "Bud" Bardowski of Co. "B" and mother of Steve Bardowski. You can find her complete obituary and memorial book here. She is listed on the MBDO Roll of Honor here.

02/25/2007 - A group of photos of the 33rd Tank Company, which was later Federalized and became the Co. B of the 192nd Tank Battalion, have been sent to us by Charles R. Roberts, Sr., whose father, Lt. Charles Roberts was an officer in the 33rd. You can find those photos in the Photo Gallery in the gallery marked "Misc Photos".
